Wine Club Shipments
For our loyal wine club members - we plan to send our fall wine club shipments in late September or early October - as soon as the weather cools sufficiently to allow for safe ground shipping. We'll email a notice to all members before shipping.
Our Newest Pinot Noirs - to be Released by October 1
We're excited about our 2009 vintage wines - already considered by many to be one of the truly great years due to the remarkably consistent and even weather patterns. While time will tell if '09 truly is a "great vintage," we are very happy with our lineup and hope you will have a chance to try our '09 wines. All of these wines will be for sale by October 1 on the website.
2008 Santa Lucia Highlands Appellation Blend
Our new value-priced Pinot is balanced and elegant, with tons of bright red and complex, subtle, dark fruit flavors and "leap out of the glass" aromatics. Honestly, we think this wine gives up nothing to our higher-priced single vineyard wines! A great wine for people interested in trying an artisan-made small lot Pinot Noir, it is very hard to beat in its price range.

2009 Poinsett Pinot Noir, Split Rock Vineyard, Sonoma Coast
Our most classically styled Pinot Noir. A single barrel, single vineyard wine exhibiting the intensity of flavor and refinement for which this vineyard has become known. At this stage showing red cherries, raspberries, cranberries, strawberries, pomegranate and orange oil; the crisp coastal acidity is seasoned with subtle earth, floral and pine notes and wrapped in the silkiest tannins. Fans of our prior Poinsett bottlings will enjoy this wine.

2009 Paris Mountain Pinot Noir, Lone Oak Vineyard, Santa Lucia Highlands
Also a single barrel, single vineyard wine, displaying the complex, dense, dark fruit and velvety tannins characteristic of the SLH. Black cherries, plums, cola nut, boysenberry, brown baking spices, vanilla, smoke, chocolate and a touch of earth and mushroom to give it character. Velvety tannins with some grip on the finish. Mouthfilling and delicious, even better in 2 - 3 years. Again, if you liked the '08 Paris Mountain, this will float your boat, too. Will age well.

2009 The Dark Corner Pinot Noir, Doctor's Vineyard, Santa Lucia Highlands
Our most hedonistic offering and the first time we have sourced fruit from this vineyard. Plush and lush, it's all about the dark jammy fruit. Packed with layers of ripe Bing cherries, blackberries, juicy plums and raspberries. If you like dark fruit jam on your morning toast you will love this wine. Very approachable now with smooth, soft, velevety tannins. Probably best within the first 4-5 years.
